Step-by-step explanation: To find the area of a circle, start with the formula for the area of a circle.

Area = \pi r^{2}

Since the radius of the circle is 4.7 inches, we can plug 4.7 in for the radius in our formula.

Area = (\pi) (4.7 in.)^{2}

Remember that 4.7 in.² is equal to 4.7 inches × 4.7 inches or 22.09 in.².

Area = 22.09\pi in.^{2}

Now, remember that pi is approximately equal to 22/7 or 3.14. This means that we can estimate the area of the circle by plugging in 3.14 for pi.

Area = (22.09) (3.14)

Area = 69.36 in.²

Now, let's find the circumference of the circle. To find the circumference of a circle, start with the formula for the circumference.

Circumference = 2πr

Notice that our radius is 4.7 inches which means we can plug in 4.7 inches for the radius in our formula.

Circumference = (2) (π) (4.7 in)

Circumference = 9.4π inches

Answer:

<h2>C ≈ 29.52 in</h2><h2>A ≈ 69.36 in²</h2>

Step-by-step explanation:

The formula of a circumference of a circle:

C=2\pi r

<em>r</em><em> - radius</em>

The formula of an area of a circle:

A=\pi r^2

We have <em>r = 4.7 in.</em>

Substitute:

C=2\pi(4.7)=9.4\pi\ in

\pi\approx3.14\to C\approx(9.4)(3.14)=29.516\ in\approx29.52\ in

A=\pi(4.7)^2=22.09\pi\ in^2

\pi\approx3.14\to A\approx(22.09)(3.14)=69.3626\ in^2\approx69.36\ in^2

NEED HELP ASP which of the following is an example of a mixed number?
AleksandrR [38]

d)

First choice is an improper fraction because you can't have 22 ninths.

And the second two are just normal fractions, not wholes.

The first choice would be the right answer IF instead of writing it like that, it was written like this ( 2 4/9 )

Your answer is d).

PLEASE HELP 50 POINTS 100 students who are in 10th or 11th grade were asked if they participated in at least one extracurricular
Marina86 [1]

There are 2 variables in this problem. One variable is the class number and other variable is the participation in extracurricular activities. Each variable has further two categories. There are two classes: Class 10 and 11. And students either participate or do not participate in extracurricular activities, which makes 2 categories.

The best approach to solve this question is to build a table and start entering the given information in it. When the given data has been entered fill the rest on basis of the data you have.

18 students from grade 11 participate in at least one Extracurricular activities. This means the rest students i.e. 22 students from grade 11 do not participate in Extracurricular activities.

32 students from grade 10 participate in at least one Extracurricular activities. This means total students who participate in at least one Extracurricular activities are 18 + 32 = 50 students.

The rest 50 students do not participate in at least one Extracurricular activities. From these 22 are from class 11. So the rest i.e. 28 are from class 10.
