Answer:

5.42 x 10²⁴

Explanation:

There is a number called Avogrado's constant, and this constant is:

6.022 x 10²³

The reason that this number is so important in chemistry calculations, is that it is the exact number of atoms in a mole of that substance.

Calculations:

No. of molecules = (Avogrado's constant) x n (where n is the moles)

No. of molecules = (6.022 x 10²³) x (9 moles)

No. of molecules = 5.42 x 10²⁴

1 mole of any substance is: 6.022*10²³ atoms or molecules.
9 moles of H₂S=9(6.022*10²³ molecules)=5.4198*10²⁴ molecules.

answer:there are 5.4198*10²⁴ molecules in 9.00 moles of H₂S.

As a sodium atom is oxidized the number of protons in its nucleus
lara31 [8.8K]

Answer:

The proton remains the same.

Explanation:

Oxidation is simply defined as the loss of electron(s) during a chemical reaction either by an atom, molecule or ion.

Oxidation is strictly on the transfer of electron(s) and not proton.

A metal that undergoes oxidation still has its protons intact otherwise it will not be called the ion of the metal since atomic number is called the proton number.

Sodium (Na) undergoes oxidation as follow:

Na —> Na+ + e-

Na is called sodium metal.

Na+ is called sodium ion.

Na has 11 electrons and 11 protons

Na+ has 10 electrons and 11 protons

From the above illustration, we can see that the protons of Na and Na+ are the same why their electrons differ because Na+ indicates that 1 electron has been loss or transferred.

What is the maximum mass of aluminum chloride that could be obtained from 6 mol of barium chloride?
kodGreya [7K]
You have to find the stoichiometric ratio between AlCl₃ and BaCl₂. The common element between them is Cl. So, the ratio of Cl in BaCl₂ to AlCl₃ is 2/3. The molar mass of AlCl₃ is 133.34 g/mol. The solution is as follows:

Mass of AlCl₃ = (6 mol BaCl₂)(2 mol Cl/1 mol BaCl₂)(1 mol AlCl₃/3 mol Cl)(133.34 g/mol) = 533.36 g AlCl₃

Carbon Dioxide in a 34 L container at a pressure of 387 mm Hg is transferred to a container with a pressure of 274 mm Hg. What i
AVprozaik [17]

Answer:

V2= 0.0796m3

Explanation:

We have that for a real gas the following relation is fulfilled:

PV / T = constant

To use this formula I need to pass the pressure of mmHg to KPa and the volume of L to m3, knowing that

1Kpa = 7.50062mmHg

1L = 0.001m3

So i can say

P1V1/T1 =P2V2/T2

So

V2= P1V1T2/P2T1

V2= 51.60KPa*0.034m3*350k/36.53KPa*211k

finally

V2= 0.0796m3
