Our football team needs to fill 4 positions. To do this, it has 10 members, of which only 3 are strong enough to play offensive

lineman, while all other positions can be played by anyone. In how many ways can we choose a starting lineup consisting of a quarterback, a running back, an offensive lineman, and a wide receiver?

There are 1,512 different ways to fill the positions.

For each spot, we need to determine the number of players that can fill the spot. Then, multiply them together.

For the offensive lineman, there are only 3 choices. After that, we start with 9 players, then 8 and finally 7.

3 x 9 x 8 x 7 = 1512

Answer:

Freezer B has 8 more cubic feet than Freezer A.

Step-by-step explanation:

Volume of Freezer A = 8 * 4 * 2 = 64 ft^3.

Volume of Freezer B = 6 * 4 * 3 = 72 ft^3.

72 - 64 = 8 ft^3.

Which statement is not always true?
earnstyle [38]
A. True. Summing any rational number with an irrational number leads to an irrational result. The proof is a bit lengthy so I'm leaving it out.

B. True. Adding p/q with r/s leads to (ps+qr)/(qs) which is rational. Keep in mind that q and s cannot be zero.

C. False. One counter example is sqrt(3)*sqrt(12) = sqrt(3*12) = sqrt(36) = 6. This shows the product of two irrational numbers, in this case sqrt(3) and sqrt(12), multiplying to get a rational result 6 = 6/1.

D. True. Multiplying p/q and r/s leads to (p*r)/(q*s) which is rational. Keep in mind that q and s cannot be zero.

The final answer is choice C
