Answer:

Number of years for the asteroid to make one revolution about the sun is 2.83 years

Explanation:

The square of the period , T of any planet in a circular orbit with radius, r is given by:

T^2= (4pi^2/Gm) × r^3 ...eq1

For earth,T^2earth= (4pi^2/Gm) × r^3 ...

eq2

Where m is mass of the sun

Divide eq1 by eq2 , you get:

T^2/T^2earth = (r/rearth)^3

Substituting r=2reath , we get:

T^2/T^2earth =( 2rearth/rearth)^3

T/Tearth = Sqrt(8)

T/Tearth= 2.83

The period the earth revolves around the sun is 1 year

T/1 = 2.83

T= (1 × 2.83)years

T = 2.83 years

What is the rotational inertia of an object that rolls without slipping down a 2.00-m-high incline starting from rest, and has a
krek1111 [17]

We will apply the concepts of energy conservation to solve the problem. We know that gravitational potential energy is equivalent to the sum of translational kinetic energy and rotational kinetic energy. Additionally, the relation of the angular velocity with the tangential velocity will be determined to eliminate the angular term and obtain the expression of the Inertia in terms of the data given, therefore, we know that

PE_{g} = KE_{trans} +KE_{rot}

mgh = \frac{1}{2} mv^2+\frac{1}{2}I\omega^2

The angular velocity in terms of tangential velocity and radius is defined as,

\omega = \frac{v}{R}

Replacing,

mgh = \frac{1}{2} mv^2+\frac{1}{2} I(\frac{v}{R})^2

Multiplying by R^2,

gh(mR^2) = \frac{v^2}{2} (mR^2)+\frac{v^2}{2}I

\frac{v^2}{2}I = (gh-\frac{v^2}{2})mR^2

I = (\frac{2gh}{v^2}-1)mR^2

Replacing with our values we have,

I = (\frac{2(9.8)(2)}{6^2}-1)mR^2

I = 0.089mR^2

two 0.5 kg carts, one red and one green, sit about half a meter apart on a low friction track, you push on the red one with the
pshichka [43]

Answer:

The work done by you on the two cart system is 2 N-m

Explanation:

Work done is the product of force and displacement.

W = F * D

Substituting the given values we get -

W =

4 * (0.17+0.33)\\= 2

The work done by you on the two cart system is 2 N-m
