Answer:

A. Volume is unchanged

Explanation:

P_{i} = initial pressure of the gas = 722 torr = 96258.7 pa

P_{f} = final pressure of the gas = 0.950 atm = 96258.75 pa

T_{i} = initial temperature = 32 °F = 272.15 K

T_{f} = final temperature = 273 K

V_{i} = initial volume

V_{f} = final volume

Using the Equation

\frac{P_{i} V_{i}}{T_{i}} = \frac{P_{f} V_{f}}{T_{f}}

Inserting the values

\frac{(96958.7) V_{i}}{272.15} = \frac{(96958.75) V_{f}}{273}

V_{f} = (1.00312) V_{i}

Hence the volume is unchanged.

What type of rock is limestone? Describe how a limestone rock is likely to change over a long period of time.
tatuchka [14]

Answer:

Limestone is a sedimentary rock

Explanation:

1. Limestone is a carbonate sedimentary rock made up of calcite(CaCO₃).This rock type forms calcareous shells and tests of organisms that was deposited in a sedimentary basin.

Limestone is used in building and construction works. It also finds application in chemical industries.

2. Over a long period of time, we would take a look at the rock "limestone" through the rock cycle.

Limestone being a sedimentary rock would be converted to marble, a metamorphic rock if subjected to metamorphic conditions over an extensive period of time. With series of metamorphic transformation, marble can grade to higher metamorphic facies of rocks as it combines with other minerals in the crust. The minerals would eventually change and as the changed rock approaches its melting temperature, melt would result.

From the other spectrum, limestone can be weathered if subjected extensively to denudation forces such as wind, water and glaciation. Water is more potent for the chemical weathering of limestone. Limestone would easily and readily dissolve in it over a long period of time.

Joseph Priestley was born in Yorkshire, the eldest son of a maker of wool cloth. His mother died after bearing six children in six years. Young Joseph was sent to live with his aunt, Sarah Priestley Keighley, until the age of 19. She often entertained Presbyterian clergy at her home, and Joseph gradually came to prefer their doctrines to the grimmer Calvinism of his father. Before long, he was encouraged to study for the ministry. And study, as it turned out, was something Joseph Priestley did very well.

Aside from what he learned in the local schools, he taught himself Latin, Greek, French, Italian, German and a smattering of Middle Eastern languages, along with mathematics and philosophy. This preparation would have been ideal for study at Oxford or Cambridge, but as a Dissenter (someone who was not a member of the Church of England) Priestley was barred from England's great universities. So he enrolled at Daventry Academy, a celebrated school for Dissenters, and was exempted from a year of classes because of his achievements.

After graduation, he supported himself, as he would for the rest of his life, by teaching, tutoring and preaching. His first full-time teaching position was at the Dissenting Academy in Warrington. (Although obviously brilliant, original, outspoken and, by one report, of "a gay and airy disposition," Priestley had an unpleasant voice and a sort of stammer. That he made a living through lectures and sermons is further evidence of his extraordinary nature.)

Which of the following best describes an isotope? Which of the following best describes an isotope? an atom with an unequal numb
deff fn [24]

Answer:

a structural variation in which different atoms of the same element have different numbers of neutrons

Explanation:

An isotope is an atom of an element having the same number of protons but different number of neutrons. Different isotopes are used for different purposes. Example: some are used in medicines , food irradiation, etc.

Carbon has three isotopes  C 12, C 13, C 14. All three of them have 6 protons but have different numbers of neutrons.

C 12 is a common element and is abundant in nature

C 13 is less abundant than C 12

C 14 is used for dating fossils . It is radioactive

Which of Newton's laws of motion describes the motion of an object that has a net<br> force of ON?
algol [13]

Newton's first and second laws of motion both do, but I think the one you're looking for is: <em>The First Law of Motion</em>.  That description is a little more direct.

It says that if an object is not acted on by a net external force, then it continues in "constant, uniform motion".
