I think most scientists would not respect this researchers claim.
It doesn't seem like the researcher followed the steps of the scientific method.

When no proper treatment, it could lead to heatstroke which may eventually cause death of the person. When one suspects that he is experiencing this, he should stop all that he is doing and rest. Then, he should move to place which has a cooler temperature. And drink fluids that are cold specifically water and sport drinks.
