Decomposers are like the housekeepers of an ecosystem. Without them, dead plants and animals would keep piling up with the nutrients the soil needs trapped inside. Decomposers clean up the dead material by processing it and returning the nutrients to the soil for producers.

PLZ PLZ PLZ HELP WILL MARK BRAINLIST In a short paragraph (2-4 sentences), EXPLAIN how seafloor spreading occurs and how it rela
mylen [45]

Answer:

Seafloor spreading helps explain continental drift in the theory of plate tectonics. When oceanic plates diverge, tensional stress causes fractures to occur in the lithosphere. At a spreading center, basaltic magma rises up the fractures and cools on the ocean floor to form new seabed.

Explanation:

Seafloor spreading occurs at divergent plate boundaries. As tectonic plates slowly move away from each other, heat from the mantle's convection currents makes the crust more plastic and less dense. The less-dense material rises, often forming a mountain or elevated area of the seafloor. Eventually, the crust cracks.

Controlling blood glucose levels in the animation, you saw that both high blood glucose levels and low blood glucose levels are
r-ruslan [8.4K]
There are 2 main hormones that can control blood glucose levels : insulin and glucagon.
Both of them are produced in the pancreas.
If the blood glucose level is too high, insulin can help by converting glucose into glycogen, the storage form of carbohydrates.
If the blood glucose is too low, glucagon can covert glycogen back into glucose to increase blood glucose level. Both of these hormones can work together to control blood glucose level in body.

4.6 Fusion of the reading frames of the bcr and abl genes, as is often observed in cases of chronic myelogenous leukemia (CML),
kirill115 [55]

Answer:

The answer is reciprocal chromosomal translocation

Explanation:

The Philadelphia chromosome (Ph) is the truncated chromosome 22 generated by the reciprocal translocation t(9;22)(q34;q11) and was first identified in 1960 in a patient with CML [3]. Translocation of the proto-oncogene tyrosine-protein kinase (ABL1) gene located on chromosome 9 to the breakpoint cluster region (BCR) gene located on chromosome 22 results in a BCR-ABL1 fusion gene on the Ph [4, 5]. Three BCR-ABL1 fusion gene hybrids encode BCR-ABL1 protein isoforms p210, p190, and p230, which have persistently enhanced tyrosine kinase (TK) activity. These aberrantly activated kinases disturb downstream signaling pathways, causing enhanced proliferation, differentiation arrest, and resistance to cell death [6, 7]. Tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) targeting the BCR-ABL1 protein are the most successful targeted therapy for Ph-positive leukemia.

Do trees Make their own energy every day
Nezavi [6.7K]

Answer:Trees and other green plants are the source of energy for all animal life to live and grow. Through the process of photosynthesis plants change light energy from the sun into chemical energy that is stored in the plant as carbohydrates (sugars) as it grows
