Atomic mass of carbon is approximately 12g, and the mass of carbon dioxide (from you) is indicated as 132 g.

CO2 means that 1 mole of carbon to 2 moles of oxygen would equal your amount of grams; therefore, oxygens atomic mass is 16 (16 x 2 = 32)

(C) 12 + (O*2) 32 = 44 g.mol

132 g (CO2) divided by 44 = 3 which would mean that there would be

3*12 = 36 Carbon g.mol in 132 g

However to find grams

Have to use this calculation:

n = m/Mr (moles = mass/molecular mass)

We know there are 3 moles of C in 132 grams of CO2 and that 3 x 12 (molecular mass of one mole of carbon) = 36

3 moles = m/36 g.mol

To find mass rearrange

Moles x molar mass = grams

3 mol x 36 g.mol = 108 grams of Carbon

108 grams of carbon in 132 grams of CO2

Hope that helps :)

What is the density of a substance with mass of 418.23g and a volume of 436.2ml
KiRa [710]

Answer:

0.96 g/mL

Explanation:

The density of a substance can be found by using the formula

density = \frac{mass}{volume}\\

From the question we have

mass = 418.23 g

volume = 436.2 ml

density = \frac{418.23}{436 .2} \\ = 0.958803

We have the final answer as

0.96 g/mL

Hope this helps you

Answer:

82.04g

Explanation:

To solve this problem, you need to find the molar mass of HCl, which is the sum of the molar mass of H plus the molar mass of Cl. The molar mass of H is 1.008g/mol while the molar mass of Cl is 35.45g/mol. Thusly the molar mass of HCl is 36.458g/mol. You have 2.25 moles of HCl, so multiply the number of moles by the molar mass to get the mass in g. In this case it is 2.25mol * 36.458g/mol = 82.04g.

Which of the following pairs consists of a weak acid and a strong base?
Rudik [331]
A salt can either be a basic salt or acidic salt. An acidic salt contains a weak base and a strong acid. The acid and base undergoes a neutralization reaction to produce an acidic salt and water. A basic salt contains a weak acid and a strong base. The acid and base undergoes a neutralization reaction to produce a basic salt and water.
