Lets count how many odds there are and how many total there are.

4 odds 7 total. Since we are only calculating for 1 roll 4/7 is the answer.

usually you would add the "or 7 is rolled" but it falls in the odd category so the answer is unchanged.

your answer is 4/7

You have a 4 out of 7 chance to get an odd number

If x and y are positive integers is x - y always positive explain
r-ruslan [8.4K]

Note that x and y are nonzero integers. It means that x and y will always have same sign (both are either positive or negative, since they are nonzero). Hence, xy term is always positive.

Write down 7 numbers that have a range of 10 and a mean of 12.
Please show the working!!
posledela
7, 9, 10, 12, 14, 16, 17

You can find that the range is ten by subtracting the largest number (17) by the smallest number (7) which leaves you with 10. You can find the mean by crossing off a number from each side, one at a time, until you land on the middle which is 12. I hope this helps, let me know if you have any questions!

A regular hexagon is defined as a hexagon that is both equilateral and equiangular. It is bicentric, meaning that it is both cyclic (has a circumscribed circle) and tangential (has an inscribed circle). The common length of the sides equals the radius of the circumscribed circle, which equals {\displaystyle {\tfrac {2}{\sqrt {3}}}} {\displaystyle {\tfrac {2}{\sqrt {3}}}} times the apothem (radius of the inscribed circle). All internal angles are 120 degrees. A regular hexagon has 6 rotational symmetries (rotational symmetry of order six) and 6 reflection symmetries (six lines of symmetry

Prove the following identity
Deffense [45]

Answer:

sec(x)/(tan xsin(x))=cot^2 x+1 = Ture

Step-by-step explanation:

Verify the following identity:

sec(x)/(tan(x) sin(x)) = cot(x)^2 + 1

Hint: | Eliminate the denominator on the left hand side.

Multiply both sides by sin(x) tan(x):

sec(x) = ^?sin(x) tan(x) (cot(x)^2 + 1)

Hint: | Express both sides in terms of sine and cosine.

Write cotangent as cosine/sine, secant as 1/cosine and tangent as sine/cosine:

1/cos(x) = ^?sin(x)/cos(x) sin(x) ((cos(x)/sin(x))^2 + 1)

Hint: | Simplify the right hand side.

((cos(x)/sin(x))^2 + 1) sin(x) (sin(x)/cos(x)) = (((cos(x)^2)/(sin(x)^2) + 1) sin(x)^2)/(cos(x)):

1/cos(x) = ^?(sin(x)^2 (cos(x)^2/sin(x)^2 + 1))/cos(x)

Hint: | Put the fractions in cos(x)^2/sin(x)^2 + 1 over a common denominator.

Put cos(x)^2/sin(x)^2 + 1 over the common denominator sin(x)^2: cos(x)^2/sin(x)^2 + 1 = (cos(x)^2 + sin(x)^2)/sin(x)^2:

1/cos(x) = ^?sin(x)^2/cos(x) (cos(x)^2 + sin(x)^2)/sin(x)^2

Hint: | Cancel down ((cos(x)^2 + sin(x)^2) sin(x)^2)/(sin(x)^2 cos(x)).

Cancel sin(x)^2 from the numerator and denominator. ((cos(x)^2 + sin(x)^2) sin(x)^2)/(sin(x)^2 cos(x)) = (sin(x)^2 (cos(x)^2 + sin(x)^2))/(sin(x)^2 cos(x)) = (cos(x)^2 + sin(x)^2)/cos(x):

1/cos(x) = ^?(cos(x)^2 + sin(x)^2)/cos(x)

Hint: | Eliminate the denominators on both sides.

Multiply both sides by cos(x):

1 = ^?cos(x)^2 + sin(x)^2

Hint: | Use the Pythagorean identity on cos(x)^2 + sin(x)^2.

Substitute cos(x)^2 + sin(x)^2 = 1:

1 = ^?1

Hint: | Come to a conclusion.

The left hand side and right hand side are identical:
