To solve this you need to put 5.3 over 8 to represent the first lamp post  then you need to put x over 128, so you can find the height of the lamp post. The lamp post is 84 feet and 8 inches

The equation of the graphed line in slope point form using the point (2,-1 ) is blank and it’s equation in slope intercept is bl
valkas [14]

Answer:

y=\frac{1}{4}x-\frac{3}{2} (Slope intercept form)

y+1=\frac{1}{4}(x_-2) (Slope point form)

Step-by-step explanation:

The slope of the line can be calculated as following:

m=\frac{-1-(-2)}{2-(-2)}=1/4

The the equation of the line in slope point form is:

y-y_1=m(x_-x_1)

Where (x_1,y_1) is a point of the line.

Then you must susbtitute the point given and the slope and you obtain:

y+1=\frac{1}{4}(x_-2)

The intercept form is:

y=mx+b

Where b is the y-intercept.

Solve for y from the equation of the line in slope point form obtained above, then:

y+1=\frac{x}{4}-\frac{2}{4}\\y=\frac{1}{4}x-\frac{2}{4}-1\\y=\frac{1}{4}x-\frac{3}{2}

Can two angles of a kite be consecutive and supplementary? explain.
Kryger [21]
If consecutive angles of a 4-sided figure were complementary, then all four of them <span>would add up to 180°. But that's a problem, because we all know that the sum of all </span>four angles in any 4-sided figure is always 360°. So the answer must be: 'No<span>'.</span>

How? (2x^2 - 3x - 4)(x + 7)<br>
lidiya [134]

Answer:

2 {x}^{3}  +  11{x}^{2}  - 25x - 28

Step-by-step explanation:

Using foil method, Multiply the first term

2 {x}^{2}  \times x = 2 {x}^{3}

Next, Multiply the Outer term in each parenthesis. (2x^2 and 7

2 {x}^{2}  \times 7 = 14 {x}^{2}

2 {x}^{2}  \times 7 = 14 {x}^{2}  \:  \:  \: 3x \times  - x =  - 3x

Then, Multiply the Inner Terms (-3x,-4,7) in each parenthesis

- 3x \times 7 =  - 21x

- 4 \times x =  - 4x

Then multiply the last term (-4 and 7).

- 4 \times 7 =  - 28

Combine it you have

2 {x}^{3}  + 14 {x}^{2}   - 3 {x}^{2}  - 21x - 4x - 28

which simplify to

2 {x}^{3}  + 11 {x}^{2}  - 25x - 28
