Functional MRI uses rays that is used to study the brain activity which is associated with the movement of blood flow. This is least likely to be affected by the sprained ankle.

Firstly, Functional MRI is used for checking the working of brain activity it has nothing to do with sprained ankle.

Secondly, there is no as such medication given in case of sprained ankle will effect the activity of brain.
