Answer:

Sociology deals with researches and study of how social interaction and influences affects individuals and group of people. A person who studies Sociology is referred to as a Sociologist.

When Sociology became approved as a recognized academic discipline, men classified the women which were previously regarded as activists as social reformers. The women weren’t regarded as sociologists.

Answer:

Men designated the title of ''social workers" or ''social reformers'' to women.

Explanation:

Sociologists will always remember the work of men such as Max Weber and Emile Durkheim. These two are considered the founding fathers but to one amazement, not a single woman was designated as a sociologist because Women were considered as minorities because when they become mothers they are said to contribute less to their careers. If you check data and statistics of the employment of females in the sociology profession for the past thirty to forty years one will notice that the rate at which females have been employed as sociologists is much more lower than the males.

This led to the Women's movement by the Women’s Sociology Caucus in the late 1960s. Men designated the title of ''social workers" or ''social reformers'' to women.
