Hi!

okay say you have the fractions 1/4 and 6/24, these two fractions are equivalent because you can multiply the numerator and the denominator by 6 to get 6/24 (1x6 = 6 and 4x6 = 24).

similarly you can reduce 6/24 to 1/4 by dividing the numerator and denominator by 6 (6/6 = 1 and 24/6 = 4).

i hope this helped!

X - 2/5= 7
find out what x is
nalin [4]

Answer:

see below

Step-by-step explanation:

x - 2/5= 7

Add 2/5 to each side

x - 2/5 + 2/5 = 7+2/5

x = 7 2/5

or if

( x-2) /5 = 7

Multiply each side by 5

(x-2) /5 *5 = 7*5

x-2 = 35

Add 2 to each side

x-2+2 = 35+2

x = 37

Helppppppp math !!!!!!!!!!

We conclude that the profit if the company produces 10 units is 1,040 dollars.

How to find the profit?

The profit is defined as the difference between the revenue and the costs.

In this case, we know that the revenue and costs are defined by:

R(x) = 200x - 5x^2

C(x) = 360 + 6x

Then the profit equation is:

P(x) = R(x) - C(x).

P(x) = 200x - 5x^2 - (360 + 6x)

P(x) = -5x^2 + 194x - 360

Now we want to find the profit when x = 10, then we will get:

p(10) = -5*10^2 + 194*10 - 360 = 1,040

We conclude that the profit if the company produces 10 units is 1,040 dollars.

Seven twelves of 840 students went to a spring concert. how many did not go
maw [93]
There are several information's of immense importance already given in the question. based on those given information's the answer to the question can be easily derived.
Total number of students = 840
Then
Number of students going to the concert = (7/12) * 840
                                                                  = 7 * 70
                                                                  = 490 So
Number of students not going to the spring concert = 840 - 490
                                                                                   = 350
So 350 students did not go to the spring concert.I hope the procedure is clear enough for you to understand. You can always use this procedure for solving similar problems in future without requiring any help from outside.
