The magnitude of the force that a spring exerts (F) when it is stretched a distance x from its unstressed length is governed by

Hooke's law, F = kx. (a) What are the dimensions of the force constant, k? (Use the following as necessary: M for mass, T for time, and L for length.)

Answer:

k = M / T^2

Explanation:

Hooke's law states that the lengthening of a spring is directly proportional to the force module applied to it, provided that the spring is not permanently deformed.

F = k * L

So:

k = F / L

Where :

[F] = N (Newton units)

[L] = m (meter)

[k] = N / m

N = ( M * L ) / T^2

[N] = ( kg * m ) / s^2

Finally:

[k] = ( kg * m ) / ( m * s^2 )

[k] = kg / s^2

k = M / T^2

One difference between a solar flare and a CME is that a solar flare is composed of ___________, while a CME is composed of ____
JulsSmile [24]

Answer:

magnetic energy (proton) and magnetic plasma.

Explanation:

 • The solar fare consists of bright light that occurs in various wavelengths and is observed at the surface.
 • They are not as strong as compared to the coronal mass ejection or CME. The solar fares consist of 10²² joules, while the plasma is ejected from the solar corona and can be clearly seen from a distance.
 • The Solar flares represent an atmospheric disturbance and plasms are the medium for the growth and development of solar flare and lead to solar activity.

In which direction is the magnetic force acting on the charge? into the screen out of the screen up down
Harrizon [31]

The direction in which the magnetic force is acting on the charge is upwards.

What is Magnetic force?

This is the attraction and repulsion which usually occurs during the motion of electrically charged particles.

In the magnetic field, the charge is moving to the left. Therefore the direction the magnetic force is acting on the charge is upwards which is gotten via right hand rule.

Use the figure to help you find the weight (Fg) of the body if the tension in both wires is 3.7 newtons.
topjm [15]
I'm not completely sure, but I think it's 3.4 newtons. I hope you get it correct.
