What is OCD?

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is a widespread, persistent, and long-lasting mental illness in which a person experiences uncontrollable, recurrent thoughts (obsessions), urges to engage in certain actions (compulsions), and other symptoms.

What causes the OCD?

Experts are uncertain of OCD's precise cause. The environment, genetics, and anomalies of the brain are regarded to be contributing factors. It frequently begins in adolescence or early adulthood. However, it can also begin in infancy.

Can stress cause OCD?

Anything that generates stress, worry, or a sense of being out of control might set off an OCD episode. A person with OCD may experience obsessions and compulsions, especially with cleanliness, if they are diagnosed with cancer, for instance.

Saying nothing when you lose your train of thought in a presentation is better than trying to cover up.
Elza [17]
No, I don't think that that's the best strategy.

If you say nothing, you will confuse (or bore) the listeners, and you will make it apparent that you forgot your strain of thought. If you try to cover up, you might actually very likely recover your train of thought or else say something that is valuable to your listeners anyway.

Answer:

The correct answer is d. pluralistic ignorance.

Explanation:

Pluralistic ignorance is the wrong view of reality by people, where these people have the wrong view of reality. They generally reject a norm that affects them, and try to replicate that feeling of rejection towards others who somehow end up disregarding it as well. In some cases, norms have an intrinsic component that benefits some and harms the vast majority, and it is important to carry out a prior analysis before judging people for some type of demonstration or mobilization against a norm.
