What drives deep ocean currents?
OLEGan [10]

Answer:

B) difference in water density

Explanation:

The deep ocean currents are the cold ocean currents. They appear in the Arctic and Antarctic circles. As the warm ocean currents come from the low latitudes toward the high latitudes, they bring in warmer water on the surface. They start to cool off though as the near the high latitudes, so gradually they become cold ocean currents. As they become cold, the water is sinking below the less dense warmer water that is coming from behind, making a turn in the opposite direction and moving as deep ocean current toward the low latitudes. Once it reaches the low latitudes, this water will get warmer, and it will move toward the high latitudes, and the process constantly continues.

Kryger [21]

Chromatography is a simple technique in principle, it remains the most important method for the separation of mixtures into its components. It is quite versatile for it can be used to separate mixtures of solids.

Explanation:

 • The two elements of chromatography are the stationary phase and the mobile phase. There are many choices of stationary phases, some being alumina, silica, and even paper. The mobile phase, in liquid chromatography, can also vary. It is often either a solvent or a mixture of solvents and is often referred to as the eluant.
 • A careful choice of eluting solvent helps to make the separation more successful. The mixture is placed on the stationary phase. The eluant passes over the mixture and continues to pass through the stationary phase carrying along the components of the mixture.
 • Chromatography is used in industrial processes to purify chemicals, test for trace amounts of substances, separate chiral compounds and test products for quality control. Chromatography is the physical process by which complex mixtures are separated or analyzed.
 • Chromatography is based on the principle where molecules in mixture applied onto the surface or into the solid, and fluid stationary phase (stable phase) is separating from each other while moving with the aid of a mobile phase

What is algae bloom?
Svet_ta [14]
Algae bloom or algal bloom is an obvious appearance or rapid increase and accumulation of millions of algae and tiny plant-like organisms in the water. The blooms of these microscopic algae or phytoplankton is the result of abundant sunlight, nutrients, and the right water conditions. These blooms may take place in freshwater and in marine environments as well. They come in different colors, cyanobacteria blooms for instance are often blue-green which literally means that blue-green algae comes to bloom .
