<h3>The height of the in inches after 30 day is 40.6 inches.</h3>

Step-by-step explanation:

The initial height of the plant  =  7 inches

The increase in height for first 27 days  =  1.3 inches per day

So, increase in height in 27 days  = 27 x ( per day increase) = (27 x 1.2) in

Now, the total length of plant after 27 days

=  Initial height + ( increase in height in 27 days)

= 7 inches +  (1.3 x 27) in  = 7 +  35.1

= 42.1 inches

So, at the end of 27 days, the height of plant = 42.1 inches

Now, the decrease in height for each 3 next  days  =  0.5 inches per day

So, decrease in height in 3 days  = 3 x ( per day decrease) = (0.5 x 3) in

⇒The total length of plant after 30 days

= The height after 27 days  - ( decrease in height in 3 days)

= 42. 1 inches -  (0.5 x 3) in  = 42.1 -   1.5

= 40.6 inches

Hence, the height of the in inches after 30 day is 40.6 inches.

For the following problem state the objective function and the constraints. DO NOT solve:
Mama L [17]

Answer:

If we define S as the number Sprinkle's umbrellas, and H as the Hurricane's umbrellas, the profit P can be expressed as:

P=3S+5H

The restriction for cloth can be written as:

S+2H\leq500

The restriction for metal can be written as:

2S+3H\leq600

The restriction for wood can be written as:

4S+7H\leq800

The condition for S and H to be positive is:

S, H \geq0

Step-by-step explanation:

We have an objective function that, in this case, we want ot maximize.

This function is the Profit (P).

If we define S as the number Sprinkle's umbrellas, and H as the Hurricane's umbrellas, the profit can be expressed as:

P=3S+5H

We have 3 restrictions, plus the condition that both S and H are positive.

The restriction for cloth can be written as:

S+2H\leq500

The restriction for metal can be written as:

2S+3H\leq600

The restriction for wood can be written as:

4S+7H\leq800

The condition for S and H to be positive is:

S, H \geq0

What is the ordered pair solution for y&gt;= 1/3x+4
blondinia [14]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

y > (1/3)x + 4 has an infinite number of solutions.  Draw a dashed line representing y = (1/3)x + 4 and then pick points at random on either side of this line.  For example, pick (1, 6).  Substitute 1 for x in y > (1/3)x + 4 and 6 for y.  Is the resulting inequality true?  Is 6 > (1/3)(1) + 4 true?  YES.  So we know that (1, 6) is a solution of y > (1/3)x + 4.  Because (1, 6) lies ABOVE the line y = (1/3)x + 4, we can conclude that all points abovve this line are solutions.
