Faction Equivalent demcimal for 2.46
Paul [167]

Here is you're answer:

In order to find the answer you have to switch all the options into decimals to see which one is equivalent to 2.46!

  • \frac{246}{1000}
  • \frac{246}{1000} = 246 \div 1000 = 0.246
  • 2\frac{46}{1000}
  • 2\frac{46}{1000} = \frac{1023}{500} = 1023 \div 500 = 2.046
  • 2 \frac{23}{50} = \frac{123}{50} = 123 \div 50=2.46 <-- You're answer.
  • \frac{223}{500} = 223 \div 500 = 0.446

Therefore you're answer is option C "2 23/50." Remember when wanting to find the decimal divide the numerator by the denominator after you convert the mixed number (if it's a mixed number) into a improper fraction!

Hope this helps!

The radius of the earth is 6,380 kilometers. what is the radius of the earth in centimeters?
fenix001 [56]

To solve for the radius of the Earth in centimetres, we know the following information:

1 km = 1000 m

1 m = 100 cm

Therefore,

radius = 6,380 km * (1000 m / km) * (100 cm / m)

<span>radius = 638 x 10^6 cm</span>
