A negative power is not allowed, so you must flip the fractions and remove the negative sign on the powers. Then you would most likely put those numerators to their powers and simplify.

Triangle ABC is translated 2 units down and 1 unit left. Then it is rotated 90 degrees clockwise about the origin to create tria
sergij07 [2.7K]

Answer : D.) A'(-2, 1), B'(1, 0), C'(-1, 0)

As per the given diagram

Point A : (0,0)

Point B: (1,3)

Point C : (1,1)

WE translate each point 2 units down and 1 unit left.

The points are in ordered pair (x,y)

For 2 units down we subtract 2 from y

For 1 unit left we subtract 1 from x

After translation

Point A : (0,0) ---> (0-1 , 0-2) ---> (-1, -2)

Point B: (1,3) ---> (1-1 , 3-2) ---> (0, 1)

Point C : (1,1) ---> (1-1 , 1-2) ---> (0, -1)

Now we rotated 90 degrees clockwise about the origin

While rotating 90 degree clockwise (x , y) becomes (y , -x)

Point A' : (-1, -2) ---> (-2, 1)

Point B': (0, 1) -----> (1,0)

Point C' : (0, -1) -----> (-1 ,0)

Bill deposits $3,000 into an account that pays simple interest at a rate of 3% per year. How much interest will he be paid in th
Sholpan [36]

Answer:

The interest he will be paid in the first 4 years is $360

Step-by-step explanation:

The rule of the simple interest is I = Prt, where

  • P is the initial deposit
  • r is the rate in decimal
  • t is the time

∵ Bill deposits $3,000 into an account

∴ P = 3000

∵ The account pays simple interest at a rate of 3% per year

∴ r = 3% = 3 ÷ 100 = 0.03

∵ The time is 4 years

∴ t = 4

→ Substitute these values in the rule above

∵ I = 3000(0.03)(4)

∴ I = 360 dollars

∴ The interest he will be paid in the first 4 years is $360
