The rate of earning money for both activities will be calculated by dividing the amount earned by the total time spent for each of the activity.

 Babysitting:         rate = ($30 / 5 hours ) = $6 / hour

 Doing chores:      rate = ($28 / 4 hours) = $7 / hour

Thus, Holly is able to earn money faster when doing the chores compared to when she do the babysitting if she work for the same amount of time for each.

Answer:

The unit rate for doing chores is $1 more than the unit rate for babysitting.

Step-by-step explanation:

30 divided by 5=6  So that means it was six dollars for babysitting.

28 divided by four=7  So that means it was seven dollars for babysitting.

The change in the value of an account when given to the nearest dollar?
devlian [24]
What changes may occur if the given dollar will be rounded off to its nearest value.
<span>There will only be 2 chances, the dollar will become smaller or bigger. Why? </span>
Because in mathematical rules of rounding off numbers:
number below 5 will be round down and 5 and up will be rounded up.
For example:
You have a bill of $6.79  since the number next to the decimal point in the right is 7, it will be rounded up to $7.
<span>But if your bill is $6.25, it will be rounded down to $6.00

Veronica has 7 yards of ribbon. Each bow requires 3/4 of a yard ribbon. How many bows will she be able to make with the ribbon s
Sonbull [250]

Answer && Step-by-step explanation:

7 yards == 4/4

by simple arithmetic remove 3/4 from 7 until you can no longer obtain 3/4 from it

7 => 6*1/4

6*1/4=>5*2/4

5*2/4=>4*3/4

4*3/4=>4

4=> 3*1/4

3*1/4=>2*2/4

2*2/4=>1*3/4

1*3/4=>1

1=>1/4

1/4 remains and 9 bows were made
