In the combustion of ethane, shown above, how many moles of carbon dioxide can be produced from 1.00 mole of ethane? A. 0.500 mo
Daniel [21]
The balanced chemical equation for the combustion of ethane is
2C₂H₆(g) + 7O₂(g) → 4CO₂(g) + 6H₂O(l)

The stoichiometric ratio between C₂H₆(g) and CO₂(g) is 1 : 2

Hence,
    moles of
CO₂(g) produced = moles of reacted C₂H₆(g) x 2

= 1.00 mol x 2
                                                  = 2.00 mol

Hence, the correct answer is "C".

A chef finds a sealed container consisting of an ingredient that goes into his restaurant’s secret sauce. The ingredient’s molec
ozzi

The ingredient's molecules would be more free and move faster, then the phase would change to liquid from solid.

Explanation:

  • This task seeks to examine the knowledge of the kinetic phase and characteristics of matters.
  • Here we see the chef described that the ingredient's molecules are moving in place – solid.
  • On the advent of causing the ingredient to change phase by transferring energy into it – the ingredient's molecules would be more free and move faster, then the phase would change to liquid from solid.

Horatio found a plant growing on the ground along a stream. An image of the plant is shown. What kind of plant did Horatio find?
Korolek [52]

Answer:

nonvascular because it lacks stems

Explanation:

Non-vascular plants, or bryophytes, are almost the most primitive forms of land vegetation. They lack the vascular tissue system (xylem and phloem) needed for transporting water and nutrients. Unlike angiosperms, non-vascular plants do not produce flowers, fruit, or seeds. They also lack true leaves, roots, and stems. Non-vascular plants are usually small, green mats of vegetation found in damp (wet) habitats. The lack of vascular tissue means that such plants must remain around moist environments.Just like other plants, non-vascular plants exhibit alternation of generations and cycle between sexual and asexual reproductive phases. The three main divisions of bryophytes are: Bryophyta (mosses), Hapatophyta (liverworts), and Anthocerotophyta (hornworts).
