Answer:

v2 = 65 m/s

the speed of the water leaving the nozzle is 65 m/s

Explanation:

Given;

Water flows at 0.65 m/s through a 3.0 cm diameter hose that terminates in a 0.3 cm diameter nozzle

Initial speed v1 = 0.65 m/s

diameter d1 = 3.0 cm

diameter (nozzle) d2 = 0.3 cm

The volumetric flow rates in both the hose and the nozzle are the same.

V1 = V2 ........1

Volumetric flow rate V = cross sectional area × speed of flow

V = Av

Area = (πd^2)/4

V = v(πd^2)/4 ....2

Substituting equation 2 to 1;

v1(πd1^2)/4 = v2(πd2^2)/4

v1d1^2 = v2d2^2

v2 = (v1d1^2)/d2^2

Substituting the given values;

v2 = (0.65 × 3^2)/0.3^2

v2 = 65 m/s

the speed of the water leaving the nozzle is 65 m/s

Cleo stated that light travels through air in straight paths, and when it moves from air to water, light changes direction, spee
Andru [333]

Answer:

Light slows down when it moves from air into water.

Explanation:

It is the property of light that travels faster in a less dense medium.

In a more dense medium, the speed of the light slows down and bends towards the normal.

The air is less dense medium and water is a more dense medium.

When light passes from air to water, the light bends.

This is known as the refraction of light.

What is the mathematical relationship among voltage current and resistance
loris [4]

Answer:

The relationship between voltage, current, and resistance is described by Ohm's law. This equation, i = v/r, tells us that the current, i, flowing through a circuit is directly proportional to the voltage, v, and inversely proportional to the resistance, r.

A .140kg baseball traveling 35.0m/s strikes the catchers mit bringing the ball to rest, recoils backward 11.0cm what’s the avera
Juli2301 [7.4K]

Average force applied by the call on the glove = 780 N

Explanation:

mass of baseball=0.140 kg

initial velocity = Vi= 35 m/s

Final velocity=Vf= 0

distance traveled=11 cm= 0.11 m

using the kinematic equation Vf²= Vi²+ 2 a d

where a = acceleration

0²= 35²+ 2 a (0.11)

a=-5568.2 m/s²

Now force is given by F= ma

F= 0.140 (5568.2)

F=-780 N

The negative sign signifies that the force acts in the opposite direction.

so the average force= 780 N
