Maggie just started her fourth year of medical school and is an avid cyclist. During her summer off of medical school she had a

bike accident that produced a large contusion on her knee. If Maggie had the same accident during finals week what would you expect to happen?

She would heal more slowly than in the summer.

Explanation:

              Maggie a cyclist met with an accident during her summer off at the medical school. The accident produced a large contusion on the knees of Maggie.

             Contusion means leaking of blood under the skin as a result of injured blood vessels or blood capillary.

            Had she met with the accident in the  finals week, she would have taken more time to heal. Contusion heal faster in summer than in winter seasons because during the summer, the heat increases the blood flow which helps in healing the contusion faster.

Thus the answer is

"She would heal more slowly than in the summer".
