Answer:

She would heal more slowly than in the summer.

Explanation:

Maggie a cyclist met with an accident during her summer off at the medical school. The accident produced a large contusion on the knees of Maggie.

Contusion means leaking of blood under the skin as a result of injured blood vessels or blood capillary.

Had she met with the accident in the  finals week, she would have taken more time to heal. Contusion heal faster in summer than in winter seasons because during the summer, the heat increases the blood flow which helps in healing the contusion faster.

Thus the answer is

"She would heal more slowly than in the summer".

How can globalization cause a pandemic? explain in 3 to 4 sentences
Anton [14]

Answer:

The pandemic has caused the largest and fastest decline in international flows — including trade, foreign direct investment, and international travel — in modern history. While these numbers imply a major rollback of globalization’s recent gains, they don’t necessarily signal a fundamental collapse of international market integration. But how deep will the plunge really be? How fast can we expect global flows to rebound? And how might future flow patterns look different from the past? Leaders can find clues about the future and actionable implications for their companies by focusing on five key drivers of globalization’s trajectory: 1) global growth patterns; 2) supply-chain policies; 3) superpower frictions and fragility; 4) ongoing technical shifts; and 5) my opinion

Anuta_ua [19.1K]

Answer:

Greek city-states developed different forms of governance with very different political structures and strengths.

Greek colonization led to the spread of the Greek language and Greek culture, but it also resulted in tensions with the neighboring Persian empire, culminating in the Persian Wars.

Athens developed democratic institutions and a culture of philosophy, science, and culture; it emerged as a powerful state and allied with other city-states, forming the Delian League.

Resistance to Athens’ power among the other Greek city-states, particularly Sparta, prompted the Peloponnesian War.
