Like always you want x on one side and y on the other side.
Equation:
13=1/6y+2x (First, you want to subtract 2x on both sides)
<u>-2x          -2x
</u>-2x+13=1/6y   (Now you want to divide by 1/6 or 6 *I don't think it matters but if I were you I would divided by 1/6* b/c you want y alone) :D
<u>
</u><u>-2x+13=1/6y
</u>      1/6
-12+77.9(repeating)=y
When i divided 13 with 1/6 I got 77.9999984 and I have no clue how I got that part of the answer. If I were you I would ask the teacher what to do?

<em>I really do this help you out even a little bit :D</em>

The equation of a line for the given slope is y=\frac{1}{2} x+1.

Solution:

Given data:

Slope (m) = \frac{1}{2}

Point = (–2, 0)

x_1=-2, y_1=0

To find the equation of the given line in the point-slope form:

<u>Point-slope formula:</u>

y-y_1=m(x-x_1)

Substitute the given values in the formula.

$y-0=\frac{1}{2} (x-(-2))

$y=\frac{1}{2} (x+2)

$y=\frac{1}{2} x+\frac{2}{2}

$y=\frac{1}{2} x+1

The equation of a line for the given slope is y=\frac{1}{2} x+1.
