It will be 3 - 1 4/5 because the 3/3 is a whole so you add one but because it is a whole you take a away one and use the same denominator from the other the fraction that will be 2 5/5 - 1 4/5 and remember use the same denominator for the numerator but the answer is 1 1/5

Robert earns $8.65 per hour mowing lawns. A) Write a rule for money m as a function of the number of hours h spent mowing lawns.
____ [38]

Answer:

A) m=8.65h

B) $29.58

Step-by-step explanation:

Earnings per hour = $8.65

To find:

A) Write a rule for money m as a function of the number of hours h spent mowing lawns.

Earnings done in one hour = $8.65

Number of hours = h

To find the total earnings, m as a function of number of hours h, we need to multiply per hour earnings with number of hours h.

Therefore, the equation is:

m=8.65h

B) How much does Robert earn if she works 3 hours and 25 minutes?

First of all, let us convert 3 hours and 25 minutes to hours.

3 hours 25 minutes = 3.42 hours

Therefore, total earnings are:

m = 8.65\times 3.42 = \$29.58
