X + y = 13......x = 13 - y
2x - 3y = 1

2(13 - y) - 3y = 1
26 - 2y - 3y = 1
-2y - 3y = 1 - 26
-5y = -25
y = -25/-5
y = 5

x + y = 13
x + 5 = 13
x = 13 - 5
x = 8

so, x = 8 and y = 5

Please help!

Solve the inequality for x

3(x + 4) > 4 - X
Maurinko [17]

Answer:

x>-2

Step-by-step explanation:

3(x + 4) > 4 - X

Distribute

3x+12> 4-x

Add x to each side

3x+12+x > 4-x+x

4x+12 > 4

Subtract 12 from each side

4x+12-12>4-12

4x> -8

Divide each side by 4

4x/4 > -8/4

x>-2

Helppppp!!!!
I don’t understand it
oksian1 [2.3K]
Okay so for 2x-y > 3
Subtract -2 from each side
-y>-2x+3
Divide by -1
And when you divid you gotta switch signs
So it’s y<2x-3

3x-5y less than and equal to 25
Subtract 3
-5y is less than and equal to -3x+25
Then divide by -5
Flip since we divide
Y more than and equal to 3/5x-5
We always flip signs when we divid or multiple
I hope this help
Sorry if I’m wrong

1. A weighted coin is biased so that a head is twice as likely to occur as a tail. If the coin is tossed 4 times, what is the pr
ohaa [14]

Answer:

80/81

Step-by-step explanation:

If a head is twice as likely to occur as a tail, then the probability of getting heads is 2/3 and the probability of getting tails is 1/3.

The probability of getting at least 1 head involves 4 scenarios:

1) 1 Head and 3 Tails

2) 2 Heads and 2 Tails

3) 3 Heads and 1 Tail

4) 4 Heads

Instead of calculate all these scenarios, you could calculate the opposite scenario: 4 Tails. The sum of all possible scenarios is 1, so:

P(at least one head) + P(no heads) = 1

Then, P(at least one head) = 1 - P(no heads)

The probability of 4 tails is:

P(no heads) = P(TTTT) = (1/3)(1/3)(1/3)(1/3)=1/81

Then, P(at least one head) = 1 - 1/81=80/81

Find angles X and Y for the question
Sav [38]

Answer:

x = 129

y = 82

Step-by-step explanation:

x + 51 = 180

x = 180 - 51

x = 129

y + 51 + 47 = 180

y = 98 - 180

y = 82
