Answer:

It can be inferred that a ±5 BMI according to the definitions of overweight and obesity makes the differences.

Explanation:

The description of a overweight person is one heavier than what is generally considered healthy for a given body type and height.

Obesity is a word that is used to describe the extremely overweight, especially: weighing more than 20% (for men) or 25% (for women) over their ideal weight determined by height and build or, having a body mass index over 30 kg/m².

Thé Body Mass Index is a statistical measure of the weight of a person scaled according to height, used to estimate if a person is underweight or overweight. BMI units are defined as kg/m² ≈ 703*lb/in².

According to WHO overweight and obesity is defined as follows:

• overweight has a BMI greater than or equal to 25; and

• obesity has a BMI greater than or equal to 30.

It can be inferred that a ±5 BMI according to the definitions of overweight and obesity makes the differences.

Researchers who use the _____ approach to studying intercultural communication are interested not only in understanding human be
Leni [432]

Answer:

Critical

Explanation:

The critical approach views reality as subjective and focuses on the importance of studying the context in

which communication occurs. Critical scholars view culture in terms of power struggles and study cultural

differences specifically as they relate to unequal distribution of power within society. They are interested not only in studying human behavior across cultures, but also in effecting change in society. They believe that by their study and analysis of the role of power in cultural encounters, they can assist people in opposing the oppressive forces in society.

Critical scholars believe that the goal of intercultural research is to identify and make explicit power

differences in order to liberate those individuals who lack power in society. In examining the role of

communication in creating group identities, critical scholars wish to deconstruct assumptions about reality in order to challenge social realities that reinforce exploitation of some groups within society. In most nations, power is not distributed equally between the majority and minority cultures.
