The take-up reel of a cassette tape has an average radius of 1.5 cm. Find the length of tape (in meters) that passes around the
Rudik [331]

Answer:

 1.28 m

Explanation:

Given;

Radius, r = 1.5 cm =  0.015 m

Time, t = 19 s

Average angular speed = 4.5 rad/s

Consider a point when the tape is moving at a constant velocity along the circumference of the circular reel of radius  r. The linear velocity  v at this point is given by;

                                      v = rω                           ----(1)

Where

v is the linear velocity of the circular motion

r is the radius of the reel

ω is the the angular velocity.

At a point the tap undergoes a linear motion before passing round the reel of the cassette. The linear velocity v at this point is given by;

                                v = L/t                          ----(2)

where;

v is the velocity of the linear motion

L is the length of the tape (distance covered by the tape)

t is the time taken

Equating equation(1) and equation (2)

                       L/t = rω

                       L = rωt

Substituting the given values,

                       L = 0.015 × 4.5 × 19

                       L = 1.2825 m

                       L = 1.28 m

What is dependent variable?
Schach [20]

Answer:

  • A dependent variable is a variable whose value will change depending on the value of another variable, called the independent variable.
  • The variation of a dependent variable is usually the one being researched and studied between the two variable types (dependent and independent). It is done through regression and alteration of inputs and the development of regression models based on theoretical studies.
  • The dependent variable is dubbed dependent because it is thought to depend in some way on the variations of the independent variable.

A 1300 kg car starts at rest and rolls down a hill from a height of 10.0 m. It then moves across a
Makovka662 [10]

Answer:

0.51 m

Explanation:

Using the principle of conservation of energy, change in potential energy equals to the change in kinetic energy of the spring.

Kinetic energy, KE=½kx²

Where k is spring constant and x is the compression of spring

Potential energy, PE=mgh

Where g is acceleration due to gravity, h is height and m is mass

Equating KE=PE

mgh=½kx²

Making x the subject of formula

x=\sqrt {\frac {2mgh}{k}}

Substituting 9.81 m/s² for g, 1300 kg for m, 10m for h and 1000000 for k then

x=\sqrt \frac {2*1300*9.81*10}{1000000}=0.50503465227646m\\x\approx 0.51 m

Ksenya-84 [330]

Answer:

Bowl will have maximum potential energy

Explanation:

It is the bowl that will have maximum potential energy.

It is because potential energy is high when both height and mass of the object is high.

Here in this case the bowl has maximum weight with maximum height except the tea cup but the potential weight of cup will not make much impact as its weight is very low.
