Well for both of these I would say for question 1:
1. Having low paid jobs and are unable to get a home and are poor
2. Having difficulties with switching cultures
3. They wanted an anarchist
And for the muckrakers:
1. They made the child labor laws rewritten
2. They made fair business practices
3. They exposed political corruption
