Answer:

g(x) = 42x

Step-by-step explanation:

Start with the function f(x) = -6x.

If we stretch it vertically by a factor of 7, f(x) becomes g(x) = 7(-6x) = -42x.

If we now reflect this g(x) in the x-axis, the rule becomes g(x) = 42x.

we are given a function

f(x)=-6x

First translation:

The graph of function  is  vertically stretched by a factor of 7

Whenever we vertically stretch any function  by 'a' units

so, we can write it as

g(x)=a\times f(x)

Here, it is vertically stretch by 7

so, we get

g(x)=7\times -6x

g(x)=-42x

Second translation:

Whenever we reflect  any function  about x-axis

we multiply y-value by -1

so, we can write it as

g(x)=-f(x)

Here , it is reflected in the x-axis

so, we can multiply by -1 to y-value

we get

g(x)=-1\times -42x

g(x)=42x.............Answer

For all values of x f(x)
Firlakuza [10]

Answer:

f(g(5)) = 64

g(f(5)) = 28

Step-by-step explanation:

Given  that f(x) = x^2 and g(x) = x+3

f(g(x) = f(x+3)

f(x+3) = (x+3)^2

f(g(x)) = (x+3)^2

f(g(5)) = (5+3)^2

f(g(5)) = 8^2

f(g(5)) = 64

b) g(f(x)) = g(x^2)

g(f(x)) = x^2 + 3

g(f(5)) = 5^2 +3

g(f(5)) = 25 + 3

g(f(5)) = 28

Hence the value of g(f(5)) is 28

Hey can you please help me posted picture of question
Deffense [45]
Correct answer is option D.

The solution is listed below

F(x)=4x+7 \\ \\
y=4x+7 \\  \\
y-7=4x \\ \\
 \frac{y-7}{4}=x \\ \\
 x= \frac{y-7}{4} \\  \\
f-^{1}(y) = \frac{y-7}{4} \\ \\
f-^{1}(x) = \frac{x-7}{4} \\ \\
