8 0

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

4 over 5 = 4/5

First, multiply 20 to both numerator and denominator:

(4/5)(20/20) = 80/100

Next, change the fraction into a decimal. move the decimal sign to the left two place values (and drop the denominator)

80/100 = 0.80

Next, to change the decimal to a percentage, move the decimal point to the right two place value and add the % sign.

0.80 = 80%

80% is your answer

Answer:

126∏

Step-by-step explanation:

area = 2 * area of the circle + area of the rectangular surface

area = 2 * r² * ∏ + 2 * r * ∏ * h

area = (2 * r² + 2 * r * h) * ∏

area = (2 * 7² + 2 * 7 * 2) * ∏

krok68 [10]

A fleet of nine taxis is to be dispatched to three airports in such a way that three go to airport A, five go to airport B, and one goes to airport C. In how many distinct ways can this be accomplished?

2.44) Refer to Exercise 2.43. Assume that taxis are allocated to airports at random.

a) If exactly one of the taxis is in need of repair, what is the probability that it is dispatched to airport C?

b) If exactly three of the taxis are in need of repair, what is the probability that every airport receives one of the taxis requiring repairs?

So, my answer to 2.44a is 1/9. Hopefully this is correct at least :)

For 2.44b, my guess was

(3C1)(1/3)(2/3)2 * (5C1)(1/3)(2/3)4 * 1/3

The solutions manual on chegg (which seems to be riddled with errors) says something completely different. Is my calculation correct?

Let S=larger square side and s=smaller square side.  The area between the larger and smaller is simple the larger area minus the smaller area.  The area of any square being s^2.  So our remaining area is:

A=S^2-s^2

A=144-49=95 cm^2
