3: multiply the change per minute by how many minutes: 3.1x15=46.5. 5: Is your opinion, I can't tell you how to feel. But a negative times a negative is a positive, so if there is an even number of negatives no matter how many positives there are it will be positive, if there is an odd number of negatives it will be negative. :) Hope this helps!

the function d(x) represent the distance traveled by a train traveling 80 mph during t hours after 1:00 pm. what does d (5)-d(2)
Tema [17]
The function d(t) represents the distance traveled by the train after t hours. d(5) is the total distance traveled by the train after 5 hours, which means 6:00 pm. The d(2) is the total distance traveled by the train after two hours, 3:00 pm. The expression d(5) - d(2) represents the total distance traveled by the train from 3:00 pm to 6:00 pm or for traveling at a constant speed for 3 hours.

Write a story or model for 1 3/4 divided by 1/2
mariarad [96]

Answer: 3 1/2

Explanation:

Convert by the mixed numbers into improper fractions.

1 3/4=7/4

7/4÷ 1/2

Multiply by the fraction.

7/4*2/1

Then, you cancel out by the common factor of 2.

7/2

Finally convert by the improper fractions into the mixed numbers.

7/2=3 1/2

<u><em>Answer: 3 1/2</em></u>

Hope this helps!

How do you solve 7/12 ÷ 2 5/8
Darya [45]
First off, we'd convert the mixed fraction to "improper" and then proceed,

\bf \stackrel{mixed}{2\frac{5}{8}}\implies \cfrac{2\cdot 8+5}{8}\implies \stackrel{improper}{\cfrac{21}{8}}\\\\&#10;-------------------------------\\\\&#10;\cfrac{7}{12}\div \cfrac{21}{8}\implies \cfrac{7}{12}\cdot \cfrac{8}{21}\implies \cfrac{\underline{7}}{3\cdot \underline{4}}\cdot \cfrac{2\cdot \underline{4}}{3\cdot \underline{7}}\implies \cfrac{2}{9}
