Let us assume the common ratio to be = x
Then
(1 * x) + (4 * x) = 50
x + 4x = 50
5x = 50
x = 50/5
   = 10
So from the above deduction, we get the common ratio to be equal to 10
Then
The smallest number = 1 * x
                                  = 1 * 10
                                  = 10

Vladimir [108]

Answer:

1 The first digit of the quotient is 3

2. 34 prizes per booth

3.  19 prizes left over

Step-by-step explanation:

We need to divide 985 by 29

29 goes into 98   3 times

29*3 = 87  with 13 left over

135 divided by 29

985÷29 = 34  with 19 left over

If 15 litres of paint covers an area of 250 m2, what area (in m2) will 20 litres of paint cover?
Korvikt [17]

Answer: 333.33m²

Step-by-step explanation:

Since we are informed that 15 litres of paint covers an area of 250 m2, the the area that 1 liter of paint will cover will be:

= 250m²/15

= 16.666667m²

Therefore, the area that 20 litres of paint will cover will be:

= 16.666667m² × 20

= 333.33m²
