then mulitply or divide
then add or subtract

40/(24-4(2+3))
inside to out
2+3=5

now we has
40/(24-4(5))
multiply inside parntahes
-4(5)=-20

now we has
40/(24-20)
subtract inside parenthasees

now we has
40/4
divide

It all comes down to 40/0 which would technically be infinity, but in this case, the answer would be 40.
