Answer: The age of the twins is 10 years.

Step-by-step explanation:

Suppose the age of older sister be x

Let the age of twins sister be x-9, as they are born after 9 years.

Product of their ages be

x(x-9)(x-9)\\\\=x(x^2-18x+81)\\\\=x^3-18x^2+81x

Sum of their ages will be

x+x-9+x-9\\\\=3x-18

According to question,

1861+3x-18=x^3-18x^2+81x\\\\x^3-18x^2+81x-3x+18-1861=0\\\\x^3-18x^2+78x-1843=0\\\\x=19

So, Age of older sister will be 19 years.

Age of the twins will be

19-9=10\ years

Hence, the age of the twins is 10 years.

A $52 game is on sale for 20%<br> off. if the sale tax id 6%, how much will the game cost?
laila [671]

Answer:

$44.10

Step-by-step explanation:

Equation: 52+(52•.20) that is the first part for your answer you should get 10.4 or $10.40. Then you would take 52-10.4=41.60 then keeping that number in mind you do 41.60• .06 and get, rounded, 2.50. Then you would add 41.60+2.50 and get $44.10 as your answer.

The nine chips shown below are placed in a bag and then mixed up. Madeline draws one chip from this bag. What is the probability
babunello [35]

Complete question :

Image relating to the question can be found in the attachment below :

Answer:

4/9

Step-by-step explanation:

From the picture :

The nine chips are : 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9

Even chips = 2, 4, 6, 8

Probability = number of required outcomes / (number of total possible outcomes)

Probability of drawing a chip with an even number :

P(even number) = number of even chips / total number of chips

P(even number) = 4 / 9
