Answer:E

Explanation:

This can be explained by Doppler effect which gives the relation between apparent Frequency and actual frequency when the source of sound is moving

f'=f\frac{v+v_o}{v-v_s}

where f'=apparent\ frequency

f=actual\ frequency

v=velocity\ of\ sound

v_o=velocity\ of\ observer

v_s=velocity\ of\ source

here v_o =0 as observer is standing

when Ambulance is approaching then velocity of sound and velocity of ambulance have relative velocity thus denominator is less than and apparent frequency is more while when ambulance is going away then velocity of sound waves and velocity of observer is in opposite direction thus denominator is less than 1 and apparent frequency is less.

Thus f_2

Heating gas to create plasma can yield?
leva [86]
When a gas is heated to become a plasma, the atoms (or the molecules) of the gas become ionised. In the ionisation, the atoms loose electrons from the exterior energy levels and thus heating to achieve a plasma will create free electrons and ionized atoms (or ionized molecules).

A plasma can not contain neutrons, because neutrons together with protons make the nuclei of the atoms. To free the neutrons from the atomn nuclei there would be necessary HUGE temperatures.

Also a plasma does not contain neutral elements (atoms) or (neutral) molecules, but Ionized atoms and/or molecules and free electrons.

Thus the good answer is d)

Which factor (s) have the most affect a person’s vital capacity? Rank in order from MOST effect (1) to least effect (5)
jenyasd209 [6]

The factors that affect vital capacity are :

  1. Age
  2. Sex
  3. Height
  4. Body mass
  5. Ethnicity

Explanation:

Vital capacity is the maximum amount of air that a person can exhale once he has filled his lungs with maximum air. So, it is like maximum exhalation after maximum inhalation by a person.

Vital capacity is also equal to Forced Vital Capacity.

Lung usually have their maximum capacity in early adult days and this capacity reduces as the person grows older. So age is the prime factor in this.

A female with same age and height as that of male will have 10-12% less vital capacity than him. So sex is another reason which determines vital capacity.

Person with more height has more vital capacity. This is because lungs capacity is closely related to the third power of person's height.

Person suffering from obesity will have compressed diaphragm, lung and chest cavity , so their vital capacity will be less. So we can say body mass affects vital capacity.

Last factor, ethnicity, is yet to be understood clearly as there is not much evidence of this.

The moment of inertia is 24.8 kg m^2

Explanation:

The total moment of inertia of the system is the sum of the moment of inertia of the rod + the moment of inertia of the two balls.

The moment of inertia of the rod about its centre is given by

I_r = \frac{1}{12}ML^2

where

M = 24 kg is the mass of the rod

L = 0.96 m is the length of the rod

Substituting,

I_r = \frac{1}{12}(24)(0.96)^2=1.84 kg m^2

The moment of inertia of one ball is given by

I_b = mr^2

where

m = 50 kg is the mass of the ball

r=\frac{L}{2}=\frac{0.96}{2}=0.48 m is the distance of each ball from the axis of rotation

So we have

I_b = (50)(0.48)^2=11.5 kg m^2

Therefore, the total moment of inertia of the system is

I=I_r + 2I_b = 1.84+ 2(11.5)=24.8 kg m^2

describe the advantages and disadvantages of bilingualism in childhood. Be sure to support your answer with information you lear
eduard
I have no idea what lesson you're talking about, but I am multilingual so I'm sure my answer can suffice for the small amount of details.

One advantage of being bilingual as a child is that, when faced with text written in a different language nobody else but you understands, you can save everyone's butt from taking out inaccurate translators for that text.

The disadvantage that follows that is the fact that people will now recognize you as that one dude that speaks every language, even if you don't. So, now, you have everybody coming up to you to translate everything they don't understand.

Another advantage is that you can read something everyone else would find disturbing (like, my graphic horror/action stories) without anybody understanding it because it's in another language.

The disadvantage that follows is that they're almost always going to be nosy brats and asking what every word means.

The last advantage I'll list is that you can get away with saying stuff. Like, "man, that woman must be on something", or, "darned drunkards", without starting up a fight with them, because, really, who's going to understand Thai way over in America? (I honestly wouldn't recommend risking it, though. Speaking of which...)

The last disadvantage here is the fact that you won't know who speaks these languages around you. For all you know, your best friend had understood every comment about the loony across the street and simply chose not to comment on it.

So, for the final conclusion, knowing different languages is great and all, but it's not that great.
