Multiplication

Division

Addition

Subtraction

Do parenthesis first: (9+8)=17

6x14-17x2

Then do multiplication

6x14=84 17x2=34

Now do subtraction

84-34=50

Therefore your answer is 50

Answer:

50

Step-by-step explanation:

For this question you would follow the BIDMAS rule - (Brackets, Indices, Division, Multiplication, Addition, Subtraction.)

The first thing in this question you need to solve it (9 + 8)

we do this because, when we follow BIDMAS, the first rule is brackets

so, 9 + 8 = 17

The second step is to multiply, as this rule is second,

so, 17 x 2 = 34

Our final step is to solve the last bit, which is 6 x 14

and we know that 6 x 14 = 84

So now that we have 84 and 34, we need to subtract the two numbers as shown,

84 - 34 = 50

And this is how you get the answer 50

i hope this has helped you, please comment if you did not understand it and i will explain it in another way : )

Answer:

\text{Area of the figure}=54\text{ unit}^2

Step-by-step explanation:

Please find the attachment.

Let us divide our given image in several parts and then we will find area of different parts.

First of all let us find the area of our red rectangle with side lengths 6 units and 7 units.

\text{Area of rectangle}=\text{Length*Width}

\text{Area of red rectangle part}=6\text{ units}\times 7\text{ units}

\text{Area of red rectangle part}=42\text{ units}^2

Now let us find area of yellow triangle on the top of red rectangle. We can see that base of triangle is 6 units and height is 1 unit.

\text{Area of triangle}=\frac{1}{2}\times \text{Base*Height}

\text{Area of triangle}=\frac{1}{2}\times \text{6 units *1 unit}

\text{Area of triangle}=3\text{ unit}^2

Let us find the area of green triangle.

\text{Area of green triangle}=\frac{1}{2}\times \text{3 units *2 units}

\text{Area of green triangle}=3\text{ unit}^2

Now we will find the area of blue triangle, whose base is 6 units and height is 2 units.

\text{Area of blue triangle}=\frac{1}{2}\times \text{6 units *2 units}

\text{Area of blue triangle}=6\text{ units}^2

Let us add all these areas to find the area of our figure.

\text{Area of the figure}=42\text{ units}^2+3\text{ unit}^2+3\text{ unit}^2+6\text{ unit}^2

\text{Area of the figure}=(42+3+3+6)\text{ unit}^2

\text{Area of the figure}=54\text{ unit}^2

Therefore, area of our given figure is 54 square units.

Solve for all possible values of x.<br> √60 8x = x - 9
umka2103 [35]

The possible values of x are 3 and 7

<h3>Solving rational expressions</h3>

Given the rational expression below;

√60-8x = x - 9

Square both sides to have:

(60-8x)² = (x-9)²

60-8x = x²-18x+81

Equate to zero to have;

x²-18x+81 - 60 + 8x = 0

x² - 10x + 21 = 0

x² -3x-7x +21 = 0

x(x-3)-7(x-3) = 0

x = 3 and 7

Hence the possible values of x are 3 and 7

How do I do this!!!!!
-BARSIC- [3]

Pyramid Surface Area = (½ * Perimeter of Base * Slant Height) + Base Area

Base perimeter = 4 * 18 = 72 inches
Base Area = 18*18 = 324 square inches

Pyramid Surface Area = (.5 * 72 * 12) + 324
Pyramid Surface Area = 432 + 324
Pyramid Surface Area = 756 square inches

A linear function contains the following points (0,-1) (3,8)
AlekseyPX
The answer is d.
to find the slope you can do y2-y1/x2-x1
8-(-1)/3-0= 9/3 or 3
you can then put one of the points into the slope intercept form y=mx+b or 8=3(3)+b
you get 8=9+b. you subtract 9 from both sides to get -1=b. y intercept means that the point is (0,-1)
