Of means multiply

3/5 *n=30

3/5 5/3 cancels than you do 30 *5/3 =50

The answer is 50 you can check your answer by doing 3/5 *50=150/5 or 30 so it's correct .

#is5 how I got the answer well it say 10times a number so u know u gotta multiply 10by a number ,then it said increase by 9 there it then said the number was 59 so I said 10times 5 +9=59 in other words 10x +9=59
first your gonna bring over the 9 to the other side of the equation so ur gonna have 10x=59-9cause if it was positive first then the sign changed to negative when u brought it over to the other side so now u subtract 9from 59and u get 50so now u got 10x =50 so now ur gonna divide both sides by 10to get the x by itself so now on one side u got 10÷19x and the other side 50÷10 now u have x=5

Given tan theta =9, use trigonometric identities to find the exact value of each of the following:_______
Ludmilka [50]

Answer:

(a)\ \sec^2(\theta) = 82

(b)\ \cot(\theta) = \frac{1}{9}

(c)\ \cot(\frac{\pi}{2} - \theta) = 9

(d)\ \csc^2(\theta) = \frac{82}{81}

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

\tan(\theta) = 9

Required

Solve (a) to (d)

Using tan formula, we have:

\tan(\theta) = \frac{Opposite}{Adjacent}

This gives:

\frac{Opposite}{Adjacent} = 9

Rewrite as:

\frac{Opposite}{Adjacent} = \frac{9}{1}

Using a unit ratio;

Opposite = 9; Adjacent = 1

Using Pythagoras theorem, we have:

Hypotenuse^2 = Opposite^2 + Adjacent^2

Hypotenuse^2 = 9^2 + 1^2

Hypotenuse^2 = 81 + 1

Hypotenuse^2 = 82

Take square roots of both sides

Hypotenuse =\sqrt{82}

So, we have:

Opposite = 9; Adjacent = 1

Hypotenuse =\sqrt{82}

Solving (a):

\sec^2(\theta)

This is calculated as:

\sec^2(\theta) = (\sec(\theta))^2

\sec^2(\theta) = (\frac{1}{\cos(\theta)})^2

Where:

\cos(\theta) = \frac{Adjacent}{Hypotenuse}

\cos(\theta) = \frac{1}{\sqrt{82}}

So:

\sec^2(\theta) = (\frac{1}{\cos(\theta)})^2

\sec^2(\theta) = (\frac{1}{\frac{1}{\sqrt{82}}})^2

\sec^2(\theta) = (\sqrt{82})^2

\sec^2(\theta) = 82

Solving (b):

\cot(\theta)

This is calculated as:

\cot(\theta) = \frac{1}{\tan(\theta)}

Where:

\tan(\theta) = 9 ---- given

So:

\cot(\theta) = \frac{1}{\tan(\theta)}

\cot(\theta) = \frac{1}{9}

Solving (c):

\cot(\frac{\pi}{2} - \theta)

In trigonometry:

\cot(\frac{\pi}{2} - \theta) = \tan(\theta)

Hence:

\cot(\frac{\pi}{2} - \theta) = 9

Solving (d):

\csc^2(\theta)

This is calculated as:

\csc^2(\theta) = (\csc(\theta))^2

\csc^2(\theta) = (\frac{1}{\sin(\theta)})^2

Where:

\sin(\theta) = \frac{Opposite}{Hypotenuse}

\sin(\theta) = \frac{9}{\sqrt{82}}

So:

\csc^2(\theta) = (\frac{1}{\frac{9}{\sqrt{82}}})^2

\csc^2(\theta) = (\frac{\sqrt{82}}{9})^2

\csc^2(\theta) = \frac{82}{81}

Lisa [10]

Answer:

16 packages

Step-by-step explanation:

5 2/5 + 2 1/4  Use the common denominator of 20

5 8/20 + 2 5/20

7  13/20

I know that I will need 14 packages for the 7 pounds.  For the fraction part, 10/20 would be half, so I would need to buy a half pound for that, but I need 13/20 which would be more than a half pound, so I will need to buy 2 more pounds for the fraction part.

14 + 2 = 16

Pachacha [2.7K]

Answer:

n= 4.7

Step-by-step explanation:

n+−3.66=1.04

n−3.66=1.04

Step 2: Add 3.66 to both sides.

n−3.66+3.66=1.04+3.66

n=4.7
