The answer of this question
ella [17]

Answer: Yes, it would be biased. If David asked the question about movies, however, it would not be.

Step-by-step explanation: It would be biased because he is asking listeners to his show who send fan mail. Fan mail is typically only sent by people who enjoy the creator. Therefor, he would be surveying only people who enjoy his podcast so the results would be heavily biased.  I am unsure about how the second part of the question relates to the first part. If David were to ask the same 100 individuals about their favorite movies rather than whether or not they liked his podcast, it would not contain biased results because he or his podcast does not have anything to do with movies. :)

State a counterexample to the conjecture below if a number is divisible by 6 and 2 then there’s is divisible by 12
siniylev [52]
Any number that is divisible by 6 is already divisible by 2, but is not necessarily divisible by 12.

Counterexamples include: 6, 18, 30, 42, 54, and so on. You can find more by multiplying 6 by any odd number. However, multiplying 6 by an even number provides another "2" that would make it divisible by 12.

How much would you need to deposit in an account now in order to have $4000 in the account in 10 years? Assume the account earns
gogolik [260]

Answer:

  $2355.06

Step-by-step explanation:

Use the compound interest formula, filling in the numbers you know. Then solve for the number you don't know.

  A = P(1 +r/n)^(nt)

where A is the account balance, P is the amount invested, r is the annual rate, n is the number of times per year interest is compounded, and t is the number of years.

Filling in the given values, we have ...

  4000 = P(1 +.053/52)^(52·10) = P(1.6984738)

  P = 4000/1.6984738 ≈ 2355.06

You would need to deposit $2355.06 in order to have $4000 in 10 years.
