The series of re introductions and revivals which had an impact on the English Colonies is called the great awakening. It was a result of powerful preaching and religious movements. Although most of the events of great events occurred from 1740 until 1760's it had started much earlier during 1720's. It happened at a time when the people of English colonies were more focused towed secular rationalism .Due to advancement of science people believed on the occurrences which can be explained by physical observation. "It was during this time that christian leaders travelled from one town to town to preach the gospels to revive Christianity in a personal ways. The preaching focused on the need for salvation.
