Answer:

Option B. Larger rocks are broken into smaller pieces through weathering and carried away from their original location by erosion.

Explanation:

In geography, the process of weathering describes the breaking down or dissolving of rocks and minerals that are found on the surface of Earth. Some of the agents that make weathering possible are salts, water, plants, animals, ice and acids. After this process, another one begins called erosion. Erosion is the act in which earth is worn away, often by water, wind or ice. Once the rocks have been broken down into particles, they are now transport to different new locations with the help of erosion.

Imagine an experiment wherein participants were told of a previously unknown tribe living on a pacific island. only one member o
mafiozo [28]

Answer:

From a statistical point of view, participants do not have enough information. To extrapolate statistical data, at least 30 subjects should be observed to make an inference, considering the traditional quantitative analysis and using the central limit theorem.

Explanation:

The central limit theorem, indicates that, in very general conditions, if Sn is the sum of n random independent variables and of not null but finite variance, then the function of distribution of Sn approximates to a normal distribution or Gauss distribution, therefore, the number of variables is quite enough in size to establish that the sample shares “normally” a characteristic such as “being obese” in the example referred regarding the tribe on the pacific island.

Asch demonstrated that group unanimity exerted an influence on conformity, above group size alone. question 1 options: true.
Lorico [155]

The statement is TRUE.

In 1951 Solomon Asch carried out the famous Conformity Experiments, set out to measure the dynamics of group-thinking. He presented his subjects with an extremely simple judgement task with a very obvious answer, joined by a previously prepared group that was told to answer incorrectly on purpose. By making it so simple, it would be clear that any subject that answered incorrectly would be doing it because of group pressure. With this first experiment, Asch proved a correlation between a group's influence on an individual's conformity.

Further trials went deeper into which factors were the most impactful to influence conformity. The results showed that increasing group size by up to three times, raised the conformity levels to 32%. However, larger groups did not impact this number. Applying group unanimity, on the other hand, showed an increase of as much as 80% on the conformity rates.

This clarified how much bigger of an influence unanimity was over group size, meaning it mattered more to an individual if an entire group agreed on something (even if the group was small), over a larger majority's opinion when a group was more split-up.

Hope this helps!
