In an obstacle course, runners must jump hurdles that are .84 m high. If the speed of one of the athletes when he is 1.63 meters

from the fence is 4m / s on the horizontal axis and 4m / s on the vertical axis. Calculate the maximum height reached and indicate whether or not the jump was successful for that runner. Help :c

Answer:

0.82 m

Explanation:

Given:

v₀ᵧ = 4 m/s

aᵧ = -9.8 m/s²

Find: Δy when vᵧ = 0 m/s

vᵧ² = v₀ᵧ² + 2aᵧΔy

(0 m/s)² = (4 m/s)² + 2 (-9.8 m/s²) Δy

Δy = 0.82 m

The maximum height reached by the athlete is 0.82 meters.  The jump is not successful.

An inflated rubber balloon is rubbed with a wool cloth until an excess of 1.00 × 107 electrons is on the balloon. What is the ma
REY [17]

The magnitude of the charge on the balloon is 1.6 x 10⁻¹² C.

<h3>What is the magnitude of the charge on the ball?</h3>

The magnitude of the charge on the ball is calculated by determining the total charge equivalent to the given number of electrons.

The charge of one electron = 1.6 x 10⁻¹⁹ Coulombs

Now, we are going to estimated the total charge of 1 x 10⁷ electrons.

1 electron =  1.6 x 10⁻¹⁹ C

1 x 10⁷ electrons = ?

= (1 x 10⁷ electrons x 1.6 x 10⁻¹⁹ C) / (1 electron)

= 1.6 x 10⁻¹² C

Thus, the total charge of 1 x 10⁷ electrons is obtained by multiplying the magnitude of charge of one electron to the entire given electrons.

A sinusoidal, transverse wave that propagates in the positive x-direction can be described with the wave function y of xt is equ
myrzilka [38]

Answer:

\omega =\frac{2 \pi }{T} rad/s

Explanation:

The wave function is:

y(xt) = Acos(kx- \omega t)

where :

k = wave number

x = position of a point on the wave

\omega = angular frequency

t = time

What is another way to express the angular frequency (omega)

Angular frequency (omega) can be express as :

\omega =\frac{2 \pi }{T} rad/s ( i.e one repetition that it takes to repeats itself)
