Answer : The temperature of this gas will be, 206.9 K

Explanation :

The expression for the kinetic energy per molecule of monoatomic gas (argon) is:

K.E_{argon}=n_{argon}\times \frac{3}{2}\times K_BT      ...........(1)

The expression for the kinetic energy per molecule of diatomic gas (nitrogen gas) is:

K.E_{nitrogen}=n_{nitrogen}\times \frac{5}{2}\times K_BT      .............(2)

The total kinetic energy of the molecule will be,

K.E_{Total}=K.E_{argon}+K.E_{nitrogen}

Now put all the expression in this, we get:

K.E_{Total}=(7500)\times \frac{3}{2}\times K_BT+(2500)\times \frac{5}{2}\times K_BT

T=\frac{K.E}{17500\times K_B}

Now put all the given values in this expression, we get:

T=\frac{5\times 10^{-17}J}{17500\times (1.381\times 10^{-23}J/K)}

T=206.9K

Therefore, the temperature of this gas will be, 206.9 K

Water and salt are compounds made of the combination of more than
inn [45]

Answer:

A. Because they are compounds, they cannot be pure substances.

Explanation:

The false statement from the given choices is that because they are compounds they cannot be pure substances. In fact, because they are compounds they are pure substances.

Pure substances are made up of elements and compounds and they have the following properties:

  • All parts are the same throughout
  • Composition is definite
  • They cannot easily be separated or broken
  • Separation by physical method is not easy
  • They have unique sets of physical and chemical properties.

The element chlorine has atomic no.17 and atomic mass 35. Calculate the no. of protons, neutrons and electrons.
sammy [17]

Answer:

Protons = 17 Neutrons = 18 Electrons = 17

Explanation:

The number of protons and electrons are the the same number as the atomic number.

To get the number of neutrons, subtract the number of protons from the mass number.

35-17=18

THIS IS DUE TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE HELP ME ASAPPPPPPPP CHEMISTRY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
allochka39001 [22]

Answer:

\large \boxed{\text{0.1767 mol/L}}$

Explanation:

(a) Balanced equation

3NaOH + H₃PO₄ ⟶ Na₃PO₄ + 3H₂O

(b) Moles of NaOH

\text{Moles of  NaOH} = \text{34.52 mL NaOH} \times \dfrac{\text{0.3840 mmol NaOH}}{\text{1 mL NaOH}} = \text{13.26 mmol NaOH}

(c) Moles of H₃PO₄

The molar ratio is 1 mol H₃PO₄:3 mol NaOH.

\text{Moles of H$_{3}$PO}_{4} = \text{13.26 mmol NaOH} \times\dfrac{\text{ 1 mmol H$_{3}$PO}_{4}}{\text{3 mmol NaOH}}\\\\= \text{4.419 mmol H$_{3}$PO}_{4}

(d) Molar concentration of H₃PO₄

c = \dfrac{\text{moles of solute}}{\text{litres of solution}}\\\\c = \dfrac{n}{V} = \dfrac{\text{4.419 mmol}}{\text{25.00 mL}} = \text{0.1767 mol $\cdot$ L$^{-1}$}\\\\\text{The molar concentration of the NaOH is $\large \boxed{\textbf{0.1767 mol/L}}$}
