What is the degree measure of the smaller angle formed by the hour and minute hands of a 12 hour clock?

Mathematics

359.905 degrees is the answer.

Step-by-step explanation:

when it comes to the hour hand it moves about 360 degrees in a 12 hour clock for instance let us take the time 6:15 then the calculation is

=(6+15/60) * 360÷12

= 187.5 degrees.

when it comes to the minute hand the minute hand travels 360 degrees for every 60 minutes in a 12 hour clock so if it is 5 mins past in the time 6:05 then it can be given as

15/60 * 360 = 90 degrees

Difference between the two hand can be calculated by

(Angle turned by the hour hand) - (Angle turned by the minute hand)

For a smaller angle let us take 12:01

= (12+1/60) * 360÷12

=360.5

for the minute hand

=1/60 = 0.595

(Angle turned by the hour hand) - (Angle turned by the minute hand)

= 360.5 - 0.595

= 359.905 degrees

How does the graph of f(x)=3lx+2l+4 relate to its parent function?

C=2, horizontal shift by C/B or 2/1 or just 2, to the left
D=4, vertical shift upwards of 4 units

Lucia has 3.5 hours left in her workday as a car mechanic. Lucia needs 1/2 of an hour to complete one oil change.
MatroZZZ [7]

Answer: So Lucía has 3.5 hours left, and need 1/2 of an hour (or 0.5 hours) to do one oil change.

a) If you divide the total time she has by the time she needs for each oil change, then you got the total number of oil changes that she can do in that time; this is:

3.5/0.5 = 7

So she can do 7 oil changes in 3.5 hours.

b) If she can complete two car inspections in the same amount of time it takes her to complete one oil change, then she can do two car inspections in 0.5 hours.

2*car inspections = 0.5 hours

car inspection = (0.5/2) hours

then one car inspection will take 0.5/2 = 0.25 hours.

c) Two ways to solve this:

1) Do the same that we did in a), this is: 3.5/0.25 = 14

she can do 14 car inspections.

2) If in 3.5 hours, she can do 7 oil changes, and in the time she does an oil change, she can do two car inspections, then in 3.5 hours she can do 7*2 car inspections, and 7*2 = 14
