Step-by-step explanation:

To find a linear equation you must look at the line already drawn on the graph and its points to make a linear equation. You also have to follow the formula y=mx+b.  M will be your slope or your rise over run on your graph. You can find the slope by choosing two points on the line and dividing them. For example, (2, 1) and (5, 3). You have to subtract y2 from y1 and then x2 from x1. This will be 3-1/5-2= 2/3= 0.6666.... After you find that, you will use 2 for our x (you can use any x point on the line that you would like). Lastly, to find our b we just have to find the point value that intersects the x-axis. If you need another example please let me know and I'd be happy to help!

Answer:

x = 18

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

3 + \frac{x}{3} = \frac{x}{2}

Multiply through by the LCM of 2 and 3 to clear the fractions.

The LCM of 2 and 3 is 6, thus

18 + 2x = 3x ( subtract 2x from both sides )

18 = x

Which graph represents the solution set of system of inequalities?
Elis [28]

3y\geqx-9\qquad|:3\\\\y\geq\dfrac{1}{3}x-3\\\\3x+y > -3\qquad|-3x\\\\y > -3x-3

\left\{\begin{array}{ccc}y\geq\dfrac{1}{3}x-3\\\\y > -3x-3\end{array}\right

y=\dfrac{1}{3}x-3\\\\for\ x=0\to y=\dfrac{1}{3}(0)-3=-3\to(0,\ -3)\\\\for\ x=3\to y=\dfrac{1}{3}(3)-3=1-3=-2\to(3,\ -2)\\\\y=-3x-3\\\\for\ x=0\to y=-3(0)-3=-3\to(0,\ -3)\\\\for\ x=-1\to y=-3(-1)-3=3-3=0\to(-1,\ 0)

y\geq\dfrac{1}{3}x-3

Carolyn has $2.55 in her purse in nickels and dimes. The number of nickels is nine less than three times the number of dimes. Fi
Flauer [41]

Hi, the answer is ;

Answer:

12 dimes and 27 nickels

Step-by-step explanation:

.05N + .1d = 2.55

N= 3d - 9

0.05 (3d-9) + 0.1d = 2.55

0.15d - 0.45 + 0.1d = 2.55

0.25d = 2.55 + 0.45

0.25d = 3

D = 12

N = 3 (12) - 9

N = 36 - 9

N = 27
