Given:
square shape
Perimeter 28 feet
Find its area

A square has 4 equal sides, so perimeter is 4a

Perimeter = 4a
28 ft = 4 a
28 ft / 4 = a
7 = a

One side of the the square is 7 ft.

Area of a square is the measure of one side raised to the power of 2.

A = a²
A = (7 ft)²
A = 49 ft²

A square has sides of equal length.
So 28 ÷ 4 = 7.
Then to work out the area, you have to multiply the length by the width.
So 7 × 7 = 49ft².
Hope this helped :)

You sell soup mixes for a fundraiser. For each soup mix you sell, the company that makes the soup receives x dollars l, and you
Whitepunk [10]

Answer: $ 6

Step-by-step explanation:

Here, the cost price of each soup = x dollars

The cost price of 16 soup = 16 x

The selling price of 16 soup = 16 x + 96

Since, the total money received for 16 soup = The selling price of 16 soup - The cost price of 16 soup

= 16 x + 96 - 16 x

= 96

Thus, the total money received for 16 soup = 96 dollars

⇒ The total money received for 1 soup = \frac{96}{16} dollars

⇒ The total money received for 1 soup = 6 dollars

Hence, for each soup 6 dollars is received.

What is the domain of the square root function graphed below?
Nikolay [14]
The domain of a function is the set of all values x can have.
From the graph, we see the least value of x is 3. x can be any value greater than or equal to 3.

The domain is

x \ge 3

In 1 and 2, use the table below that shows information about squares.
frutty [35]

1. The table has a constant of proportionality of 4, therefore, the perimeter and side length of squares are proportional.

2. Equation for the proportion is, y = 4x.

Perimeter = 48 cm.

<h3>What is the Equation of a Proportional Relationship?</h3>

The equation that defines a proportional relationship is, y = kx, where k is the constant of proportionality between variables x and y.

1. For the table given:

y = perimeter

x = side length

k = constant of proportionality = 8/2 = 16/4 = 24/6 = 4.

Since k is the same all through, the equation can be modelled as y = 4x, which means the perimeter and side length of squares are proportional.

2. Using the equation, y = 4x,the perimeter (y) of a square when its side length is 12 (x) is:

y = 4(12)

y = 48 cm.

The perimeter (y) of the square is: 48 cm.
