Autotrophs and Hetrotrophs
The right answer is 34.78%
The interphase is the period of the cell cycle that the cell transcribes its genes and the chromosomes are duplicated. It can be subdivided into several phases:
* phase G1
* phase S: during which the chromosomal material is doubled by DNA replication. This is called chromosome duplication.
* phase G2.
Phase G1 is the longest phase of the interphase (its duration depends on the type of cell), followed by phase S, then phase G2.
To calculate the proportion of phase S in the interphase simply make the division:
phase duration S / interphase duration = 8/23 = 0.3478 (in percentage that is 34.78% (0.3478*100)).
The first option is correct.
Earth always has two surrounding gravitational forces, one proceeding from the moon and one from the sun.
The sun's pull, despite the fact our sun is further then the moon, is stronger and creates the high tide, and the moon the low tide. But as we know our earth moves, now exposing the other side to the sun which in turn leaves the other side of earth with the high tides and the other with the low tides. Tides never move, what moves is earth.
Hope it helped,
Happy homework/ study/ exam!
A strain is a low-level taxonomic rank used at the
intraspecific level (within a species). While the majority of the members of the same species have very high similarity in their genomes, there occasionally is a proportion of the species that has a little different genome from the popular species group. This variability results in different strains on the species.
A harmless Staphylococcus
aureus may have a muted virulence gene. However, either due to mutation of the
gene or recombination with the harmful strain, a harmless Staphylococcus
aureus could easily turn virulent (harmful).
