360 miles in 6 hours                                   I also did it by 1 hour to make sure it

? miles in 15 hours                                     would be correct and here is my work

6/360 set equal to 15/x                               6/360 set equal to 1/x

cross multiply so you will get                      cross multiply

6x=5400                                                      6x=360

divide by 6 on both sides                             divide both sides by 6

x=900 miles                                                 x=60 miles

                                                                    then you can multiply 60 miles by 15

                                                                    and you will get 900 miles

Hello there, my fellow human being!

So, first we have to find the unit rate to figure out how much miles the car travels in 1 hour360/6 = 60. The car travels 60 miles in one hour.

Now, lets figure out how much it travels in 15 hours by multiplying 15 with 60.
60*15 = 900.
So, the car will 900 miles in 15 hours.

Hope this helped!

A manufacturer of banana chips would like to know whether its bag filling machine works correctly at the 430 gram setting. It is
Volgvan

Answer:

Null Hypothesis, H_0 : \mu \geq 430 gram   {means that the machine is not under filling the bags}

Alternate Hypothesis, H_A : \mu < 430 gram   {means that the machine is under filling the bags}

Step-by-step explanation:

We are given that a manufacturer of banana chips would like to know whether its bag filling machine works correctly at the 430 gram setting.

It is believed that the machine is under filling the bags. A 21 bag sample had a mean of 429 grams with a variance of 289.

<u><em>Let </em></u>\mu<u><em> = mean weight bag filling capacity of machine.</em></u>

SO, Null Hypothesis, H_0 : \mu \geq 430 gram   {means that the machine is not under filling the bags}

Alternate Hypothesis, H_A : \mu < 430 gram   {means that the machine is under filling the bags}

The test statistics that will be used here is <u>One-sample t test statistics</u> as we don't know about the population standard deviation;

                        T.S.  = \frac{\bar X -\mu}{\frac{s}{\sqrt{n} } }  ~ t_n_-_1

where, \bar X = sample mean = 429 grams

             s = sample standard deviation = \sqrt{289} = 17 grams

             n = sample of bags = 21

So, <u><em>test statistics</em></u>  =  \frac{429-430}{\frac{17}{\sqrt{21} } }  ~ t_2_0

                               =  -0.269

<em>Now at 0.01 significance level, the t table gives </em><u><em>critical value of -2.528 at 20 degree of freedom</em></u><em> for left-tailed test. Since our test statistics is higher than the critical value of t as -0.269 > -2.528, so we have insufficient evidence to reject our null hypothesis as it will not fall in the rejection region due to which </em><u><em>we fail to reject our null hypothesis</em></u><em>.</em>

Therefore, we conclude that the machine is not under filling the bags.

Model the data using an exponential function f(x) = Abx. HINT [See Example 1.]
zlopas [31]
We take the function as a sequence

Term 1 ⇒ 5
Term 2 ⇒ 4
Term 3 ⇒ 3.2

Between terms, there is a common ratio of ⁴/₅
We get it from here:
Term 2 / Term 1 = \frac{4}{5}
Term 3 / Term 2 = \frac{3.2}{4} = \frac{4}{5}

When a sequence has a common ratio between term, the sequence is a Geometric Sequence

n_{th}term=ar^{n-1}
Where a is the first term, r is the common ratio, and n is the term number

We have: a=5 and r= \frac{4}{5}
The formula for the function is

f(x)=5( \frac{4}{5})^{x-1}

The pH of lemon juice at 298 K is found to be 2. 32. What is the concentration of mc014-1. Jpg ions in the solution? Use StartBr
sdas [7]

The concentration of ions in the solution of lemon juice whose pH value is 2.32 is 4.79×10⁻³ M.

<h3>What is pH value?</h3>

The pH value shows that how much a solution is acidic or basic. The range of the pH value lies between the 0-14.

The pH value can be calculated with the following formula.

\rm pH=log[H^{+}]

Here, [H⁺] is the molar hydrogen ion concentration.

The pH of lemon juice at 298 K is found to be 2. 32. Put this value of pH in the above formula as,

\rm 2.32=log[H^{+}]\\\ [H^{+}]=4.79\times10^{-3} \rm \; M

Hence, the concentration of ions in the solution of lemon juice whose pH value is 2.32 is 4.79×10⁻³ M.
