The heat transfer mechanism is a fluid (air or water) is called convection. The atmospheric air acts as a fluid. The earth gets heated by the sun’s radiation. This heated earth makes the air surrounding it to get warm than the air around it. The heated air mass rises up , where it eventually gets cool through convection.
