Sammy experiences a lot of mental stress at work. Because of the stress, which is he at most risk for?
Assoli18 [71]
Stress is an inevitable part of life. If stress is just in small doses, it can be of help yet if it would be big already affecting one's physical and mental function then it becomes dangerous. Having too much stress can give negative feelings such as anger and depression leading then to be at risk of having health problems such as headaches, high blood pressure, heart problems, stroke and sometimes death which then Sammy can have since he is experiencing a lot of stress at his job.

Which of the following is a common myth associated with fitness?
Alja [10]

i beleive the answer is: d. Working out in the morning is more effective than working out at night.

The main reason for the myth is the fact that we burn more calories early in the morning(before we consume any breakfast).

Even though this might be true, What dispelled this perception is the fact that our body typically burn would burn more calories during sleep when we work out at night. So the the overall calorie burned will pretty much the same.

Among the postnatal care currently offered, therapeutic hypothermia has been shown to be a safe and effective method in reducing mortality, motor and cognitive sequelae.

Therapeutic hypothermia

The purpose of therapeutic hypothermia is to establish guidelines for the safe and effective performance of therapeutic hypothermia in neonates with moderate and severe hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy, based on recent clinical trials, reviews and meta-analyses.

PRESCRIPTION

 • Ventilatory support necessary for the case. The heating of humidified gases must be maintained.
 • Ensure central venous access for infusion of medications, hydration and for collection of blood testsblood (umbilical venous and arterial catheterization), as there is difficulty in peripheral venous access and blood collection by peripheral vasoconstriction triggered by hypothermia.

With this information, we can conclude that the patient with hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy (HIE) is advised to use therapeutic hypothermia.
